Throw back thursday 2013

Hi, hope you are having an awzum day!

I came up with the idea that every Thursday I'm going to have a #ThrowBackThursday ! Whether it's 10 years ago or last week, and everything in between.

First up is 3,5 years ago. In January/February 2013, my family and I went to the USA. It was my mother's 40th birthday present, we were going to visit Severna Park, MD, which is where we used to live when I was a little girl, and of course Miami, Florida.

 ↑ Copenhagen

↑ This used to be our house.

↑ Check out that little, still 14-year-old girl.
↑ I bought my favorite thing ever.
↑ I was so good at photography, like wow, especially the motives are amazing.

↑ I pretty much took a pic of everything in the Smithsonian Air and Space museum. Which really isn't weird, since history is my favorite subject.

Goodbye D.C. I remeber this very well, we decided to cut our trip short, so we had time to go to taco bell drive-through one last time before our flight left haha.

Hope you enjoyed a flash from the past, and that you want this "series" to continue.
Love, Filippa.

It was a rare day when...

.... Filippa had cleaned her room for once. This unique happening needed to be immortalized and shared immediately. So 10 months later, when the furniture had moved place, been replaced and the room was yet again in a state of chaos, Filippa decided it was time to upload the proof unto her newly established blog. So her readers could look upon the pictures and imagine that this is indeed what Filippa's room always looks like.

thought it would be nice to show some pics of my place ;)

Stockholm, b*tch

Did I mention that I'm going to Stockholm on Tuesday? No? Well now I did!!!

So yeah, I'm just gonna get started with my packing and then let you know more about my trip in another post *wink smile*.

P.s I've inserted a few pics from last time I was in Stockholm, of course that was only in Arlanda, the airport, so they may be a bit boring. Oh well.

Recipe for a perfect summer's day

Most important key ingredients: Large amount of sunshine, a spectacular view (near the ocean, optional), nice seating, a refreshing drink, and of course, something productive to do, for full enjoyment.

My productive thing was studying for the Finnish "matriculation exams". (Not quite what it is, but you get the gist). Revising my english with the beloved Harry Potter and studying the health education course books.

You may remember me raving about not getting any tanning time in my last post, well lucky me since the weather changed and I got a few hours of light rays.

Thank you, my beloved reader for tuning in. Hope to see you back tomorrow!

Turku in two days

I was hoping for some sunny weather today, but no such luck. So instead of working on my fading tan I decided to blog about a trip that occurred earlier this week.

Early Monday morning I, together with my parents, slowly got in the car and drove south. I tried to sleep on the way to Turku, but it was impossible. So with 3 hours of sleep I felt dead later that night. But we still had done a lot, like been to Ikea, and Mylly, which is a huge shopping centre. We ate a delicious raw lunch  at Pure Hero. I really recommend it, it was delicious, and then stopped in the middle of the shopping for some jungle juice.

After all the shopping we joined my sister and her boyfriend for dinner at Airisto. Which is where my sister works. Oh and that's why we were in Turku in the first place, to visit them, probably should've mentioned that haha.

Then it was straight to the hotel for sleeeeeeep <3. The next day I woke up late, my parents had both been swimming and running, while I was sleeping. After a very busy breakfast (daaang that was a lot of families with kids), we checked out and picked up my sister for a tour of Turku.

We walked around, saw a lot of pretty sights (like the bridge with locks), of course played a lot of pokemon go, which is my new obesession, went shopping in Stockmann, and finally ate a late lunch/early dinner. Then we said goodbye and started the loong drive home.

I hope you have a great day, thank you for reading!

Here we go again

Who has anything better to do on a Friday evening at 10:07pm than suffer a small breakdown consisting of asking yourself "what am I doing with my life" fifty times until deciding that starting a new blog will solve all your problems? definitely not me haha.

So on a totally unrelated note, Hello my name's Filippa and I'm starting a blog! I'll probably blog about my normal life as an 18-year-old girl, living in Finland, finishing her last year of high school, beauty and other things that fascinate me/make me angry.

If you were observant in the first paragraph you may have noticed the term "new blog" being used. Which could indicate that I've had a blog before. Congratulations Nancy Drew, yes indeed, I've been an on-and-off blogger since 2009*. Mostly off. But still, almost 7 years of blogging.

So for some reason I keep ending up here. Writing that "first blog post". There is just something about blogging that makes me want to keep going, that makes me want to write about my boring life and spruce things up with my amazeballs personality. Well if your reading this then you're in luck, since you can officially say, I was there from the beginning. And trust me, it's going to be a wild ride.

Oh and occasionally I like to dust off the ol' family camera and shoot a video. You might be seeing some of that if you stick around, which I highly suggest.

*at the age of 11, I like to think that the quality of my blogging has since improved

I want this blog to be a representation of my life, both the posed,  clearly edited pics and the ugly pics. So your welcome friend, don't abuse the trust I'm putting in you when I post this.

I'll see you tomorrow ;)
Love, Filippa
